Pakistan, Algeria Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Bilateral Economic and Trade Cooperation

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Algeria have reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation in trade, economy, science, and culture during a meeting between Algerian Ambassador Dr. Brahim Romani and Secretary of the Ministry of Economic Affairs Muhammad Humayun Karim in Islamabad.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the existing bilateral relationship and expressed satisfaction over the steady progress in cooperation under the framework of the Pakistan-Algeria Joint Ministerial Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Cultural Cooperation.

The two officials reiterated their resolve to further activate bilateral economic engagement and agreed to work closely for the early convening of the Third Session of the Joint Ministerial Commission in Islamabad. They emphasized the importance of effective coordination and thorough preparations to ensure the success of the upcoming meeting.

The discussions also focused on exploring new avenues of cooperation in various sectors of mutual interest. Both sides highlighted the need to strengthen collaboration in economic development, scientific research, technical cooperation, trade, and cultural exchanges.

The Algerian Ambassador and the Secretary of Economic Affairs underscored the historic brotherly relations between Pakistan and Algeria, noting that the two countries enjoy longstanding ties based on mutual respect and shared values. They stressed that the significant scientific, technological, and economic potential of both nations should be fully utilized to promote sustainable development, shared prosperity, and mutual interests.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to deepen bilateral cooperation and further strengthen the longstanding friendship between Pakistan and Algeria through enhanced economic partnerships and institutional collaboration.
