Rawalpindi:Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, interacted with participants of the 20th National Workshop Balochistan at GHQ.He said consistent efforts by security forces and law enforcement agencies, backed by public support, will bring lasting peace to Balochistan. He reaffirmed that targeted operations against Fitna al Khawarij and Fitna al Hindustan will continue until terrorism and its abettors are eliminated. Pakistan remains committed to dismantling terrorist infrastructure wherever it threatens the country.The COAS & CDF stated that foreign-sponsored proxies are seeking to fuel violence and destabilize Balochistan, but their designs will be defeated through a decisive military response and the unity of the Pakistani people.Describing Balochistan as “the pride of Pakistan,” he noted its natural wealth and resilient, patriotic people as its greatest strength. He highlighted ongoing federal and provincial development initiatives aimed at transforming the province’s socio-economic landscape through an inclusive, people-centric approach.He lauded the role of civil society, academia, media and youth in strengthening national integration and Balochistan’s long-term prosperity, and stressed the need for national unity and perseverance.The session ended with participants reaffirming their commitment to Pakistan’s stability, progress and sovereignty.
