Rawalpindi:Awaam Pakistan Party Secretary General Miftah Ismail said that Pakistan belongs to all its citizens and that genuine progress cannot be achieved until vulnerable groups, minorities, and marginalized communities are provided with their fundamental rights and access to justice. He stated that Awam Pakistan would continue its struggle against poverty, unemployment, injustice, and discrimination while working towards a Pakistan where every citizen feels secure and empowered.
An important membership drive event was held at the Awaam Pakistan Secretariat, Waris Khan, Rawalpindi.The ceremony began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and a Na’at in praise of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The event was hosted by City Organizer Samina Shoaib and Azhar Ali Qadri.During the ceremony, Mumtaz Bhatti highlighted the concerns and sentiments of the Christian community and drew attention to the challenges faced by minorities in Pakistan. Pastor Asif and Pastor Nasir offered prayers for the prosperity of the country, the nation, and Awaam Pakistan.
Central Vice President Chaudhry Inam Zafar welcomed the guests and thanked them for their participation. He said that after a 42-year political career, he joined Awaam Pakistan because of his trust in the honesty and transparency of Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Miftah Ismail, and Dr. Zafar Mirza. He added that Awaam Pakistan had emerged as an alternative political force committed to ending dynastic politics and corruption. He also informed participants that Azhar Ali Qadri is the Awaam Pakistan-backed representative from Ward 4.Addressing the gathering, Miftah Ismail said he was delighted to be among party workers in Rawalpindi.He emphasized that Pakistan belongs to all citizens and that equal rights must be ensured for every Pakistani, including minorities, marginalized groups, and transgender individuals. He said Awaam Pakistan would continue raising its voice against false cases, injustice, the exploitation of minorities, poverty, and unemployment. He stressed that no Pakistani can be truly safe unless all Pakistanis are safe. He also expressed concern over the country’s economic difficulties and rising unemployment while criticizing the government’s performance.Central Information Secretary Dr. Zafar Mirza stated that Awam Pakistan was founded to bring positive political, economic, and democratic change to the country. He said that the governance system of the past 77 years had failed to address the problems of ordinary citizens, which is why the party adopted the slogan: “Badlen Gey Nizaam , Awaam Pakistan.” He described women’s political representation, internal party democracy, and equal rights for minorities as key priorities of the party. He also praised the contributions of female wing of Awaam Pakistan.Dr. Mehr Liaquat Ali and Tariq Cheema said that Awaam Pakistan is a true representative of all segments of society, including women. Vice President Fatima Atif and National General Council Member Atif Abbasi appreciated the efforts of party workers and expressed confidence in the leadership of Chaudhry Inam Zafar.Samina Shoaib and Sardar Nazeer Ahmed Kashmiri said that Awaam Pakistan Party is actively working under the patronage of Chaudhry Inam Zafar.They added that party workers are performing their responsibilities with complete trust and confidence in his leadership, which is highly encouraging.
The event concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening the party’s organizational activities, membership campaign, and public outreach efforts.
