Pakistgani HC Pledges Support for Pakistan’s Trade Mission in Sri Lanka

ISLAMABAD : Founder Chairman of Pakistan Association of Exhibition Industry Khurshid Barlas met Major General (Rtd) Dr. Nayyar Naseer, HI (M) PhD, High Commissioner of Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Sri Lanka in Colombo. Mahwash Sami, Trade and Capital, Attaché, Pakistan High Commission was also present in the meeting. In the meeting, Founder Chairman Khurshid Barlas gave details about the domestic and international exhibitions, including Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, UK, Bahrain and recently held exhibitions in Made in Pakistan, Bangladesh. The Founder Chairman said that we are coming to hold the 2nd Made in Pakistan Exhibition and Business Investment Conference in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 23rd to 27th December at Bandaranaike Memorial Inter Conference Hall, Colombo.
The exhibition includes textile industry, food products, electrical appliances, kitchenware/crockery, consumer products, footwear, household goods, tiles and ceramics, furniture and fixtures, gems and jewellery, marble and glass, sports equipment, service providers, fashion and fabrics, tourism and hospitality industry, machinery and equipment, paints, varnishes and chemicals, HVACR, sanitary ware. Equipment and fixtures, handicraft products and other sectors will participate in the exhibition. The exhibition will open up new avenues of trade between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, which will play an important role in introducing Pakistani products internationally. Pakistan High Commissioner Major General (Retd) Dr. Nayyar Naseer appreciated the efforts made by Khurshid Barlas regarding the economy and assured that he will fully support this exhibition and will stand by your side in organizing the exhibition. Your efforts to increase the country’s economy are commendable. Pakistan High Commissioner Major General (r) Dr. Nayyar Naseer while discussing the economic situation of Sri Lanka said that the investment environment in the country is becoming more attractive due to liberal foreign investment system, favorable government policies, strategic location and educated and adaptable workforce. Sri Lanka is now known as a very promising country for investment in South Asia. He emphasized that there are immense opportunities to increase bilateral trade as both countries have many products to trade with each other, we should identify opportunities where Sri Lanka can prioritize its imports to Pakistani products rather than other countries. Presenting the shield to Major General (Rtd) Dr. Nayyar Naseer, Mahwash Sami Trade and Capital Attaché Pakistan is also present on this occasion
