Ishaq Dar Visits Data Darbar, Commends Expansion and Modernization Efforts

Lahore: Deputy Prime Minister Senator Ishaq Dar has said, “Radiating Spiritual Majesty, Historical Splendour, and Architectural Excellence, the Sacred Shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) continues to emerge as a glorious symbol of Pakistan’s rich Sufi heritage and progressive development vision.” He expressed these views during his visit to the revered shrine of Hazrat Ali Hajveri, popularly known as Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA), where he paid homage to the great Sufi saint and highly appreciated the remarkable development, expansion, and beautification initiatives undertaken at the sacred shrine complex.
Upon arrival, the Deputy Prime Minister was warmly received by Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, Administrator Data Darbar Muhammad Ali Khan, Superintending Engineer C&W Muhammad Essa XEN Fahad Naveed General Manager NESPAK Adil Nazeer,XEN Auqaf Qaiser Munir and senior officials of the shrine administration. During the visit, Senator Ishaq Dar offered Salam and Fateha Khawani and prayed for the peace, stability, prosperity, and progress of Pakistan, as well as for the unity and well-being of the Muslim Ummah.
The Deputy Prime Minister also visited various ongoing development sites within the shrine complex and expressed profound admiration for the large-scale expansion, extension, and modernization projects aimed at facilitating millions of devotees who visit the shrine annually. He highly praised the visionary leadership, administrative excellence, and untiring efforts of Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta, observing that the ongoing initiatives have successfully preserved the spiritual sanctity, historical grandeur, and architectural magnificence of the shrine while simultaneously introducing modern facilities for pilgrims and visitors.
Senator Ishaq Dar remarked that the impressive improvements in infrastructure, cleanliness, security arrangements, crowd management systems, and public convenience reflect the Punjab Government’s unwavering commitment to serving devotees in the best possible manner. He noted that the shrine of Hazrat Data Ganj Bakhsh (RA) continues to stand as a beacon of peace, spirituality, tolerance, and Islamic values, attracting devotees and visitors from across the country and abroad.
The Deputy Prime Minister further stated that the promotion and preservation of sacred religious sites are essential for strengthening Pakistan’s spiritual identity, cultural heritage, and religious tourism sector. He emphasized that the government would continue extending full support for development projects aimed at enhancing facilities for the public while safeguarding the historical and religious significance of such revered places for future generations.
On the occasion, Secretary/Chief Administrator Auqaf Punjab Dr. Ehsan Bhutta briefed the Deputy Prime Minister regarding the ongoing development works, future expansion plans, and comprehensive administrative measures being implemented to ensure maximum comfort, security, and convenience for devotees, particularly during large religious congregations and annual Urs celebrations.
Dr. Ehsan Bhutta stated that all development initiatives at the shrine are being executed under a transparent, efficient, and devotion-driven framework, ensuring that modern facilities are provided to pilgrims without compromising the spiritual sanctity and historical identity of the shrine. He further reaffirmed his commitment to completing all ongoing projects within the stipulated timelines to enhance visitor facilitation and preserve the shrine’s revered legacy.
The visit concluded with special prayers for national solidarity, enduring peace, economic prosperity, and the continued progress of the country.
