London: Former Chairperson of the Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) North UK, Misbah Qaisar, has welcomed the anticipated diplomatic developments involving Pakistan, describing them as a significant achievement on the global stage.

In her recent statement, Misbah said that the expected arrival of a high-profile United States delegation in Pakistan would mark a historic moment in the country’s diplomatic history. She noted that, for the first time, the U.S. Air Force One aircraft is expected to land in Pakistan, carrying U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance along with his negotiating team.

Such a development will not only elevate Pakistan’s global standing but will also be closely watched by the international community,” she said.

Highlighting the broader significance, Misbah stated that Pakistan is currently making headlines worldwide due to its potential role in facilitating Iran–U.S. peace talks in Islamabad. She emphasized that, despite political differences with the government, hosting such high-level negotiations represents a major success for the country.

She further noted that the development has sparked strong reactions in India, with questions being raised about why Pakistan has been chosen as the venue for these sensitive discussions.

Welcoming the visiting delegations, Misbah said Pakistan looks forward to hosting both Iranian and American representatives, expressing hope that the talks would contribute to regional stability and global peace.
