ISLAMABAD: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa and newly appointed Director-General of Inter-Services Intelligence (DG-ISI) Lieutenant General Nadeem Ahmed Anjum on Monday called on Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan. The high-level meeting discussed the country’s overall situation and security-related issues, said Inter-Services Public Relations. According to details, the issue related to Afghanistan situation was discussed in detail. Moreover, the current situation of Afghanistan was discussed in the meeting. The provision of aid from Pakistani side was also reviewed.

The situation of land and air routes to ensure safe travelling of Afghan people was also pondered over. The formulation of mutual strategic foreign policies between Pakistan and Afghanistan was discussed. Sheikh Rashid also highlighted the Pak-Afghan border situation in meeting.  In addition, a mutual strategy to formulate Afghan policy was also discussed. The issues regarding Pakistan s internal security and peace were also briefed in meeting. In addition Sheikh Rashid also briefed about the scenario of Pak-Afghan border in meeting.
