AJK Inland Revenue Department Honoured for Exceeding Tax Targets

MUZAFFARABAD:Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Faisal Mumtaz Rathore on Thursday honoured senior officers of the Inland Revenue Department for its outstanding performance in achieving and surpassing the prescribed revenue targets.

The prime minister attended a ceremony organized by the Inland Revenue Department at the Prime Minister’s House in Muzaffarabad. Chief Secretary Khushal Khan, Finance Secretary Hassan Masood, Inland Revenue Secretary Muhammad Younis Mir, Commissioner Inland Revenue North Zone Basil Siddiq, Commissioner Inland Revenue South Zone Syed Anser Ali, AJK Council Board of Revenue Secretary Dr Shazia Habib and other senior officials and staff members attended the ceremony.

Prime Minister Rathore presented honorary shields, cash awards and certificates of appreciation to senior officers of the department in recognition of their exceptional performance.

Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said the Inland Revenue Department had not only achieved its assigned targets but also ensured revenue collection beyond the prescribed tax targets, playing an important role in strengthening the financial stability of the state.

He congratulated the department on its impressive performance and expressed the hope that it would continue to demonstrate the same dedication and efficiency in the future.

Inland Revenue Secretary Muhammad Younis Mir briefed the prime minister about the department’s performance and expressed the resolve to continue working with the same enthusiasm, commitment and dedication to further improve revenue collection and departmental efficiency.
