ISLAMABAD, Oct 4: President Asif Ali Zardari on Sunday paid tribute to security forces for eliminating eight terrorists of Fitna al-Khwarij during an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan.
According to the President Secretariat Media Wing, the President commended security personnel for recovering a large quantity of weapons and ammunition and eliminating three key figures of the militant group during the operation.
President Zardari said the nefarious designs of terrorists operating with foreign patronage and support from local facilitators would be foiled. He called for continuing operations against Fitna al-Khwarij with full force under the Azm-e-Istehkam vision.
The President reaffirmed the nation’s unwavering resolve to eradicate terrorism and said the entire country saluted the security forces for their sacrifices in protecting peace and security.
He expressed appreciation for the personnel who participated in the operation and reiterated the government’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at eliminating terrorism from the country.
