ISLAMABAD : The Rwanda High Commission in Pakistan held a press conference to announce an upcoming visit by a Pakistani business delegation to Kigali for the Rwanda-Pakistan Investment Forum, scheduled from September 23–25, 2026.

The event was addressed by High Commissioner Harerimana Fatou and Ambassador Hamid Asghar Khan, Patron-in-Chief of the Pakistan Africa Economic Council (PAEC). The delegation, comprising Pakistani business and investment representatives, will engage with Rwandan government institutions, business leaders and investors to explore trade, investment and partnership opportunities. A key highlight will be the signing of a Bilateral Trade Agreement between the two countries.

High Commissioner Fatou described the forum as part of broader efforts to strengthen Rwanda-Pakistan ties in trade, technology and manufacturing, calling Rwanda a gateway to the African market and encouraging Pakistani firms to consider it for investment and regional expansion.

Ambassador Hamid Asghar Khan called the forum timely, given East Africa’s rising investment appeal, citing Rwanda’s stability, skilled workforce and investor-friendly policies. He said the 15–16-member PAEC delegation would explore trade, investment and employment opportunities, including for Pakistan’s skilled youth.

The High Commission expressed confidence the visit would strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.
