Islamabad: President of the Tourism Association of Pakistan, Naveed Ahmad Khan, visited the picturesque hill station of Nathia Gali in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where he praised its breathtaking natural beauty, pleasant weather and immense tourism potential.
During his visit, Naveed Ahmad Khan toured various scenic locations and interacted with local stakeholders, tourism operators and visitors. He appreciated the lush green forests, cool climate and peaceful environment, describing Nathia Gali as one of Pakistan’s premier tourist destinations.
Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized the importance of promoting domestic tourism as a key driver of economic growth, employment generation and regional development. He said Pakistan is blessed with world-class natural attractions that deserve greater promotion at both national and international levels.
The Tourism Association president stressed the need to further improve tourism infrastructure, road connectivity, hospitality services and visitor facilities while ensuring environmental conservation and sustainable tourism practices. He said preserving the region’s natural beauty is essential for attracting more tourists and safeguarding the area’s ecological balance.
Naveed Ahmad Khan also commended the efforts of the local administration in facilitating tourists during the peak summer season and called for stronger collaboration between the public and private sectors to enhance Pakistan’s tourism industry.
He encouraged families, travel enthusiasts and international visitors to explore the scenic destinations of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, saying tourism not only contributes to economic prosperity but also promotes Pakistan’s positive image, cultural heritage and natural diversity.
Local tourism stakeholders welcomed his visit and expressed optimism that continued support from the Tourism Association of Pakistan would help further develop Nathia Gali and other scenic destinations, boosting investment and strengthening the country’s tourism sector.
