60% of Children Screened with Dental or Vision Issues; Free Medicines Distributed

ISLAMABAD, June 29, 2026: Maroof International Hospital (MIH), in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy, organized a Community Health & Wellness Medical Camp at Pakistan Sweet Home under the Maroof Community Program.
The camp offered free consultations in Pediatrics, General Medicine, Dentistry, Ophthalmology, Nutrition & Dietetics, and Psychology for children and staff. Health screenings revealed that many children faced common dental and vision problems. Around 60% were found to have dental or eyesight-related concerns, while nearly 40% required general medical and mental health consultations.
MIH Pharmacy provided free medicines to all children and staff to support treatment and recovery.
His Excellency Mr. Rongvudhi Virabutr, Ambassador of Thailand, attended as Chief Guest. He appreciated the initiative for supporting underprivileged children and welcomed the focus on their health and wellbeing.
MIH Chairman Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed said the hospital remains committed to providing healthcare for orphaned and vulnerable children through the Maroof Community Program. CEO MIH Mr. Haroon Naseer thanked Mr. Zamurrad Khan for maintaining a caring environment at Pakistan Sweet Home and acknowledged the Royal Thai Embassy’s partnership.
The event concluded with an Appreciation Shields Ceremony, recognizing partners and MIH teams for their contribution to community healthcare.
