KSrelief Successfully Completes Final Phase of Livestock-Based Economic Empowerment Project in Pakistan

Islamabad: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) has successfully completed the final phase (Phase III) of the project titled “Economic Empowerment of Vulnerable Households in Pakistan through Livestock Provision 2025–26.” The project was implemented in Pakistan to strengthen livelihoods and improve the economic resilience of vulnerable communities.

Under this phase, a total of 500 cattle along with two bags of silage for each beneficiary were distributed among vulnerable households across three districts: Charsadda (200 cattle), Mardan (150 cattle), and Nowshera (150 cattle).

In addition, 40 training sessions on livestock management, animal health, and improved breeding practices were conducted through the District Livestock Departments to strengthen the technical capacity of beneficiary households and promote sustainable livestock-based livelihood opportunities.

Through this intervention, 500 households received direct support, benefiting 3,570 individuals contributing to improved household income, food security, and long-term livelihood stability.

The project is implemented by the Peace and Development Organization in coordination with the Relief, Rehabilitation and Settlement Department, Provincial Disaster Management Authority ، Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and relevant district administrations. This project reflects the humanitarian vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to empower vulnerable communities, promote self-reliance, and support sustainable development through livelihood-based initiatives.
