CHAKWAL: Newly elected President Chakwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) Waqar Zafar Bakhtawri on Tuesday took charge as President CCCI for Year 2022-23.

On the occasion, he said that Chakwal Chamber of Commerce and Industries will always strive for technology and innovation in tune with the modern world and will do everything possible to develop the trade and tourism sector.

The President CCCI said that in the international competitive economic environment, the requirements of trade and tourism have completely changed and now the businessmen of Chakwal will have to follow the modern requirements in the international competitive market.

The newly elected President of Chakwal Chamber of Commerce and Industry Waqar Zafar Bakhtawari is taking charge of his office from the outgoing president Sheikh Haroon.

Senior vice President Umer Sami, Vice President Ahmed Farooqui,Group leader Chakwal Qazi M akber , chief coordinator Khawaja Arif ,former presidents Khurram Kamran Haji Nazir Sultan, Khalid Mirza, Aamir Najeeb Bhatta, and Zafar Bakhtawari are also present.

Waqar Bakhtawri said that “we will play our full role to make Chakwal Chamber an international level chamber.”

On the occasion,he announced that he would organize a photo exhibition soon to bring the tourism potential of Chakwal to an international level.In this photo exhibition, the tourism potential of Chakwal should be highlighted and promoted at the international level, he said.

Bakhtawri said Chakwal has immense potential for tourism as it has Katas Raj Temples, Kalar Kahar and a number of beautiful lakes and small dams.There are unlimited tourism opportunities which need to be developed, he added.

He reiterated that the Chakwal Chamber of Commerce will organize an industrial exhibition in the near future to highlight the industry in Chakwal.He said that local industry will get benefits by organizing such industrial and commercial exhibitions.
