An agreement is signed between the Islamia University of Bahawalpur and Al-Khawarizmi Institute of Computer Science (KICS) UET Lahore to establish Huawei ICT Academy (HAINA-IUB) at the Faculty of Engineering under 2nd tier HAINA project that is initiated by Huawei. Huawei is a leading global Information and Communication Technology (ICT) solution provider and Huawei Certification System is a well-recognized standard system for ICT talent cultivation. Huawei ICT Academy is a partnership between Huawei and Academies around the world. Through this partnership, HAINA-IUB ICT Academy will deliver Huawei ICT technologies training, encourages students to get Huawei certification, and develops talents with practical skills for the ICT industry and the community.  In the first phase, the HAINA-IUB Academy will provide training in Routing and Switching and Network security at the Associate level to get Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA) certifications. Engr. Prof. Dr. Athar Mahboob, Vice Chancellor has felicitated Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Amjad Dean Faculty of Engineering on this achievement.
