In every country, the armed forces stand at the forefront of security, ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens. Recognizing and valuing the sacrifices and service of these courageous men and women goes beyond a mere patriotic duty; it becomes an essential imperative.

The primary role of any nation’s armed forces is to safeguard its freedom and sovereignty. Our military personnel dedicate their lives to defending the principles and values that constitute the foundation of our society. Expressing love for the army is a manifestation of our gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy and the sacrifices made to preserve them. A robust and well-supported military is crucial for ensuring national security. The affection and backing of the public contribute significantly to the morale of the armed forces, nurturing a sense of unity and purpose.

A nation that holds genuine affection for its army recognizes the pivotal role it plays in maintaining peace and stability, both within the country and on the international stage. Beyond their defensive duties, armed forces often play a vital role in disaster response and humanitarian efforts. Demonstrating love and support for the army extends to acknowledging their efforts in times of crisis, whether it involves providing aid during natural disasters or participating in peacekeeping missions. Their willingness to serve in diverse capacities demonstrates a commitment to the well-being of the global community.

Soldiers willingly endure personal sacrifices, including time away from family, rigorous training, and exposure to danger. Acknowledging and appreciating these sacrifices is an expression of love for the individuals who selflessly put their lives on the line for the greater good. It is a recognition of the courage and dedication that define the character of those who serve.

The armed forces instill values such as discipline, leadership, and professionalism in their members. These qualities contribute not only to the effectiveness of the military but also to the development of responsible and capable individuals. Loving the army reflects our respect for the positive values they instill in their personnel, values that often extend beyond the military and benefit society as a whole.

Armed forces often play a significant role in national development, contributing to infrastructure projects, technological advancements, and community outreach. Supporting and loving the army involves recognizing their multifaceted contributions to the progress and prosperity of the nation, extending beyond their traditional defense functions. A strong military acts as a deterrent to potential threats, helping to prevent conflicts and maintain global peace. Loving the army acknowledges its role in preventing the escalation of tensions and fostering an environment where diplomatic solutions can be pursued.

Youth, often hailed as the backbone of a nation, play a pivotal role in shaping the future and driving progress. The importance of the youth in a country cannot be overstated, as they represent not only the present but also the promise of a brighter tomorrow.

One of the pivotal contributions of young individuals to a nation lies in their innate ability to think innovatively and challenge the established norms. The enthusiasm and fresh perspectives of young minds frequently lead to the innovation and development of novel technologies, methodologies, and ideas, crucial for a nation’s competitiveness in the global arena. The youth form a significant portion of the workforce, and their active involvement in the economy is indispensable for sustained growth. A dynamic and skilled young workforce not only drives productivity but also attracts investments and fosters entrepreneurship. Nations with a youthful demographic are better positioned to adapt to economic changes, ensuring resilience in the face of challenges.

Youth often spearhead social movements, advocating for positive change and contributing to the evolution of societal norms. Their passion for justice, equality, and environmental sustainability can lead to transformative social policies, fostering a more inclusive society. The energy and commitment of the youth contribute to building a nation that values diversity and respects human rights. Investing in the education and skill development of the youth is an investment in the nation’s future. Equipping young people with knowledge, skills, and training enhances their employability, enabling them to make meaningful contributions to the workforce. A well-educated youth population lays the foundation for a knowledge-based economy, driving long-term prosperity.

Youth engagement in politics and governance is crucial for a vibrant democracy. The active participation of young individuals in the political process introduces fresh perspectives, new ideas, and a commitment to addressing contemporary challenges. Empowering the youth in decision-making processes helps build a more representative and responsive government. The youth play an instrumental role in preserving cultural heritage while contributing to its evolution. Their engagement in the arts, literature, and cultural activities ensures the continuity of traditions, while their creative expressions add vibrancy and dynamism to the cultural landscape.

The youth, with their energy, passion, and innovative spirit, have been the driving force behind transformative changes in numerous countries globally. Examples abound of young people working tirelessly for the betterment of their nations, contributing to social, economic, and political advancements.

In the 1970s, South Korea witnessed a remarkable transformation with the Saemaul Undong (New Village Movement). Spearheaded by President Park Chung-hee, this initiative aimed at modernizing rural communities and eradicating poverty. The movement mobilized the youth to engage in community development projects, resulting in significant improvements in infrastructure, agriculture, and living standards. The Saemaul Undong is credited with propelling South Korea into an era of rapid economic growth and development.

In 2020, Nigerian youth took to the streets in the EndSARS protests, demanding an end to police brutality and corruption. Largely organized through social media, the movement brought together a diverse group of young activists who passionately advocated for justice and accountability. Despite facing challenges, the youth-led protests sparked a nationwide conversation about governance and the need for systemic reforms, showcasing the power of collective action.

The Civil Rights Movement in the United States during the 1950s and 1960s witnessed substantial contributions from young activists. Guided by inspirational leaders like Martin Luther King Jr., students and young adults played pivotal roles in sit-ins, freedom rides, and voter registration drives. Their relentless efforts were instrumental in dismantling racial segregation and discrimination, paving the way for increased equality and civil rights for all Americans.

In the initial years of its independence, Singapore confronted numerous challenges, including economic uncertainty and social unrest. Under the leadership of Lee Kuan Yew, the government acknowledged the potential of the youth in nation-building. Policies were implemented to prioritize education, skill development, and youth employment. The disciplined and industrious ethos instilled in the youth significantly contributed to Singapore’s transformation into a global economic powerhouse.

The Arab Spring, originating in Tunisia in 2010, was largely fueled by the discontent of the youth with prevailing political and economic conditions. Young people played a central role in advocating for political change, social justice, and economic opportunities. The protests ultimately resulted in the overthrow of the authoritarian regime, marking a significant moment in the region’s history.

In the intricate mosaic of governance and decision-making, the opinions, needs, and preferences of the public weave an essential thread. Public surveys, as tools for direct engagement and feedback, play a pivotal role in understanding the heartbeat of a nation.

Public surveys function as potent instruments for assessing public sentiment and comprehending the diverse perspectives within society. By soliciting opinions on various issues, policymakers garner valuable insights into the concerns, priorities, and expectations of the people they serve. This knowledge is crucial for formulating policies that are not only effective but also reflective of the majority’s needs. Effective governance necessitates policies that resonate with the public and address their most pressing concerns. Public surveys furnish decision-makers with a nuanced understanding of what resonates and what does not. By aligning policies with public sentiments, governments can amplify their effectiveness and ensure that resources are directed toward areas of utmost importance to citizens.

Transparency stands as the cornerstone of a thriving democracy. Conducting public surveys nurtures an atmosphere of openness, showcasing a commitment to involving citizens in decision-making processes. This transparency, in turn, fosters trust between the government and the public, laying the groundwork for constructive dialogue and collaboration. Public surveys function as diagnostic tools, aiding in the identification of gaps in public services and areas that demand improvement. By directly consulting citizens about their experiences and needs, governments can pinpoint deficiencies in sectors like healthcare, education, and infrastructure, leading to targeted interventions and improved service delivery.

Public surveys facilitate a more comprehensive and inclusive representation of voices. Through random sampling and outreach initiatives, surveys capture the opinions of diverse demographic groups, ensuring that the perspectives of minority populations, marginalized communities, and various socio-economic groups are taken into account. This inclusivity contributes to policies that better mirror the needs of the entire population. Anticipating potential backlash or resistance to proposed policies becomes possible by understanding public sentiment in advance. Identifying areas of concern early on allows policymakers to adjust strategies, communicate more effectively, and implement policies in ways that minimize opposition.

Public surveys act as a means to actively involve citizens in the democratic process. By seeking their input, governments empower individuals to feel vested in decisions that shape their lives. This participatory approach not only fortifies the democratic fabric but also cultivates a sense of civic duty and responsibility among the populace.

In the field of public opinion research, Ipsos stands as a global leader, possessing the ability to unveil nuanced insights and convert data into actionable knowledge. Through its expansive network and methodology, Ipsos public surveys play a crucial role in providing a comprehensive understanding of societal perspectives.

It is heartening to note that 74% of Pakistani youth have expressed full confidence in the Pakistan Army. A survey conducted by the renowned market research organization ‘Ipsos’ for the Voice of America, based on the opinion of Pakistani youth, has been released. The survey took place from January 3 to January 12 among youth aged 18 to 34 years. According to the survey, the majority of Pakistani youth consider the army the most trusted institution in the country. This alignment between the people, especially the youth, and the Pakistan Army is a positive sign for the nation.

In the intricate fabric of national defense and security, the relationship between the people and the armed forces mirrors the essential exchange of oxygen in sustaining life. This metaphorical connection underscores the critical role civilians play as the life-giving force that breathes vitality and purpose into the military.

Much like oxygen sustains the human body, the support and encouragement from the civilian population are crucial for maintaining the morale of the armed forces. Soldiers gain a sense of purpose and determination when they know their actions are appreciated and valued by the people they protect. Collective strength within the nation lies in the unity between the army and the people. When civilians actively participate in supporting the military, whether through moral backing, financial contributions, or voluntary service, they contribute to a powerful synergy that enhances the nation’s overall strength and resilience. Adequate resources are indispensable for the military’s operations, training, and equipment. Civilian contributions through taxes, donations, and investments act as the financial oxygen ensuring the armed forces have the necessary resources to fulfill their duties, making a well-funded military better equipped to face challenges and protect the nation. Just as oxygen sustains life physically, moral and emotional support from civilians is crucial for the mental resilience of military personnel. The continuous supply of oxygen is necessary for the body’s growth and sustainability, and similarly, the youth of the nation represent the lifeblood for the military’s continued success. When young individuals are inspired, motivated, and encouraged to join the armed forces, it ensures a robust and capable military for the future. Oxygen symbolizes life, and national pride serves as the lifeblood of a nation. Civilians expressing pride in their armed forces and national identity create an environment where the military can thrive, fostering unity, resilience, and a shared commitment to the nation’s well-being. Support from civilians encourages innovation and adaptability within the armed forces, fostering an environment where they can evolve, stay technologically advanced, and effectively respond to emerging threats.

Among many reasons for the Pakistani people to support its army is the clear stance of the current Army chief and corps commanders on key national and international issues. The recent Corps Commander Conference is an example of this clear stance. The Corps Commanders’ Conference, chaired by Army Chief General Asim Munir, reiterated the commitment that no one would be allowed to use violence in the name of political activity. The army will perform its duties as per the constitutional mandate and the instructions of the Election Commission. The 262nd Corps Commanders’ Conference discussed the deployment of the army to assist the Election Commission in elections. The forum emphasized that violence in the name of political activism and sabotage of free and fair elections would not be allowed. The army will perform its duties as per the constitutional mandate and instructions of the Election Commission. The conference participants were briefed on Indian state-sponsored terrorism and India’s campaign to target Pakistani citizens. The forum agreed to expose India’s flagrant violation of international laws. Army Chief General Asim Munir asserted that Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity are sacred and inviolable, and the nation’s honor and aspirations will not be compromised. The forum expressed support for the people of Palestine, condemned India’s state-sponsored terrorism, and reiterated support for the right of Kashmiris to self-determination. The conference participants appreciated measures against smuggling, hoarding, money laundering, and illegal activities. The forum emphasized the need for economic and public welfare efforts to continue unhindered. The operational readiness of the formations was briefed, and the Army Chief urged commanders to maintain standards of professionalism and excellence during training. The conference paid tribute to the sacrifices of army officers and soldiers.

Readers, recent survey unequivocally demonstrates that the people of Pakistan stand behind their Army, appreciating the clear stance and actions taken by the Army chief and the Pakistan Army on national and international issues. The popularity refutes the false propaganda of anti-state elements and confirms the strong bond between the people and the armed forces of Pakistan.
