LONDON: The 41st Annual International Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Conference was held in Stockwell, London, bringing together Islamic scholars, religious figures, Quran reciters, Naat reciters and a large number of attendees from the United Kingdom, Europe and Pakistan.

The conference was organised under the chairmanship of Professor Dr Toaha Qureshi MBE, Chairman of the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Centre London. Maulana Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari, Secretary General of Wifaq-ul-Madaris Al-Arabia Pakistan, attended as the chief guest.

The gathering began with a recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Afan, followed by Naat recitation in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

Addressing the conference, scholars from Britain and Europe discussed various aspects of the Islamic belief in the Finality of Prophethood, the Seerah of the Holy Prophet ﷺ, and the importance of Islamic education. Speakers stressed the need to ensure that younger generations are educated about the Quran, Sunnah and fundamental Islamic beliefs.

Professor Dr Toaha Qureshi MBE, in his address, emphasised the importance of respecting British laws alongside the rights to religious freedom and freedom of expression. He said the activities of the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Centre were aimed at explaining Islamic beliefs and expressing them peacefully, rather than promoting hatred against any religion or community.

Chief guest Maulana Muhammad Hanif Jalandhari highlighted the significance of the belief in the Finality of Prophethood, describing it as one of the fundamental beliefs of Islam. He urged Muslims to develop a better understanding of their core beliefs and encouraged greater attention to the religious education and upbringing of younger generations.

Other scholars also emphasised the importance of teaching children and young people the Quran, Sunnah and Islamic teachings, while encouraging them to learn about the life and character of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

The conference was attended by several prominent religious figures from Pakistan, Britain and Europe, including Sheikh Mumtaz-ul-Haq, Hafiz Ikram and Maulana Haji Abdul Hamid of Belgium, among others.

Speakers also encouraged Muslims living in Britain and Europe to strengthen community ties, connect younger generations with religious education, and contribute positively and peacefully to wider society.

At the conclusion of the conference, the organisers presented a declaration expressing their commitment to promoting awareness of the belief in the Finality of Prophethood, strengthening religious education, and continuing to organise similar gatherings in the future.

Participants praised the organisers for the successful conduct and arrangements of the event.

The conference concluded with messages centred on religious education, the Seerah of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, and peaceful community engagement.
