ISLAMABAD:A high-level defence delegation from the Democratic Republic of Congo, led by Lt. Gen. Banza Mwilambwe Jules, Chief of Defence Forces, called on Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu at Air Headquarters, discussing matters of mutual interest, regional security, and avenues for enhanced defence cooperation.
The Air Chief highlighted the longstanding cordial relations between Pakistan and DR Congo, reiterating PAF’s resolve to strengthen defence ties through greater interaction, training, and expertise exchange between the two countries’ armed forces. He also briefed the visiting delegation on PAF’s indigenous capabilities and ongoing efforts toward self-reliance.
The visiting dignitary praised PAF’s professionalism, operational preparedness, and training standards, expressing keen interest in its indigenization achievements. He underscored his resolve to rebuild and modernize DR Congo’s Air Force and voiced his desire to benefit from PAF’s professional expertise.
The visit reflected both countries’ shared commitment to strengthening bilateral defence cooperation and building lasting institutional ties, contributing to regional peace and stability.
