Lakki Marwat:According to local sources, a Khawarij operative attempted to target a local mosque during Friday prayers today, June 12, in a suicide bombing attempt.
The terrorist tried desperately to reach the mosque, but timely and courageous action by local citizens neutralized and killed the attacker before he could enter the premises.
However, explosives strapped to his motorcycle detonated, martyrizing a five-year-old girl and injuring five others, including children.
The injured are being evacuated to the hospital.
Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
Following the incident, public anger and outrage against the Khawarij gripped residents of Lakki Marwat.
