NCHD & SMILE Pakistan inked MoU to Drive Literacy and Human Development in Pakistan

Islamabad:The National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) and SMILE Pakistan, a youth-oriented NGO, have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at NCHD headquarters here today. This collaboration aims to revolutionize the training and awareness landscape for thousands of Volunteers registered with NCHD across the country.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Ali Asghar Director General NCHD and Mr. Asif Khawaja Chief Executive Officer Smile Organization, the ceremony was attended by senior officials’ key stakeholders from the Literacy and VCD department.

The partnership aims to leverage joint efforts to enhance access to quality education, foster inter-faith harmony, and drive socio-economic growth through innovative programs like EOTO. The collaboration will also focus on safety awareness campaigns with Rescue1122, Traffic Police, and other organizations.

This collaboration harnessing the combined expertise of NCHD and SMILE Pakistan will undertake Joint training programs, workshops, and lectures will be conducted for NCHD staff, volunteers, and students, while advocacy and awareness campaigns will be launched in Islamabad with plans for nationwide expansion. Additionally, quarterly events will be organized to inspire and recognize participants, and volunteer mobilization will be undertaken for the EOTO program. The partnership will also leverage CSR partnerships with national companies to scale these initiatives

“We look forward to working closely with SMILE Pakistan to build a more literate, aware, healthy, and safe Pakistan,” said Mr. Ali Asghar, Director General, NCHD.

The partnership is expected to benefit communities across Pakistan, aligning with NCHD’s mission to promote human development and socio-economic growth.
