Syposium on Eastern medicine to be held at Hamdard University

KARACHI :A two-day symposium on Eastern medicine will take place at Hamdard University, Madinat al-Hikmah from November 1-2, 2023. The symposium is organized by the Pakistan Association for Eastern Medicine (PAEM) in partnership with Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf). The event will focus on the significant contributions of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said to the development of the Unani system of medicine in Pakistan.

Hundreds of Hakims and physicians from across the country are expected to attend. The symposium will delve into the utilization of herbs to reduce the burden of diseases, the role of Shaheed Hakim Mohammed Said in the promotion of Tibb-i-Unani and explore the future of Tibb-i-Unani in Pakistan.

Distinguished guests scheduled to speak in the symposium’s opening session on Wednesday include Dr. Ahsan Qavi Siddiqui, the CEO of Sindh Health Care Commission, Ms. Sadia Rashid, the president of Hamdard Foundation Pakistan, Chief Patron of PAEM and Chancellor of HU, Dr. Azhar Ali Shah, the Pro-Vice Chancellor of Sindh University (Larkana Campus) Prof. Dr. Syed Shabib-ul-Hasan, HU’s Vice Chancellor and Prof. Dr. Hakim Abdul Hannan, the President of PAEM.
