SAARC CCI presidium expresses sympathy with India aime Covid 19 spikeIslamabad . In the wake of outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic in India, President SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Iftikhar Ali Malik along with Haji Ghulam Ali, Vice President SAARC CCI, on Friday, extended a letter to Honorable  Uday Shankar, President, Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi, India and expressed their solidarity with the people of India in the midst of the “destructive” second wave of Covid-19, adding that “We stand with the people of India as they are battling with a very severe, lethal and dangerous wave of COVID-19”.

SAARC CCI presidium expresses sympathy with India aime Covid 19 spikeWhile the uncontrolled surge in the new Covid-19 infections each day has negatively affected the delicate framework of the country, it is not only the absence of beds and prescriptions that is worrisome. A huge deficiency of clinical oxygen is representing a more noteworthy test to the nation combating an emergency situation in the second Covid-19 wave.

Haji Ghulam Ali, Vice President SAARC CCI, on behalf of Pakistan Chapter, expressed his deep concern over the serious Coronavirus outbreak in India which has brought about an extreme shortage of clinical oxygen and beds. During these unprecedented times, people of Pakistan are determined to extend their help and support to India.

It is high time that the South Asian countries collectively stand united against the pandemic. Given that isolation is certainly not a drawn-out arrangement, the South Asian countries need to deplete the obvious vacuum in regional collaboration, and understand that only multilateral endeavors and participation will have a synergetic effect.

We stand next to each other with India as a companion and accomplice during what is a profoundly unsettling time in the battle against Covid-19, said President SAARC CCI.

The battle against the pandemic is our common battle. South Asia stands in solidarity with India and is willing to contribute to the relief efforts being made by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi, India, added  Malik.

The SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a regional organization, dedicated to promote regional economic integration through creating strong business linkages among the entrepreneurs of the of South Asia.
