Pakistani business delegation meets adviser for commerce of Bangladesh

Dhaka :A high profile business delegation from Pakistan, led by Mr. Atif Ikram Sheikh, President of Pakistan Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), met with Sheikh Bashir Uddin, Adviser for Commerce in Bangladesh’s Interim Government. They discussed ways and means to enhance bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

The Adviser for Commerce welcomed the delegation and emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties between the two countries. President FPCCI thanked the adviser for meeting and informed that a prominent multi-sectoral exporters’ delegation is visiting Bangladesh with the aim to enhance trade and commercial ties. Highlighting the vast potential for expanding bilateral trade in various fields, he expressed confidence that enhanced economic engagement could pave the way for a new era of trade relations, benefiting businesses and economies on both sides.

Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh Syed Ahmed Maroof was also present during the meeting.

Earlier, the delegation held a meeting with Executive Chairman of Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun. Discussions centered on exploring trade and investment opportunities between the two countries.
