MOL Pakistan upgrades DHQ Hospital with latest digital x-ray systemHANGU : MOL Pakistan Oil and Gas Company B.V., upholding its commitment for the betterment of communities located in its areas of operation, upgraded healthcare facilities at Shaheed Fareed Khan Hospital District Headquarter (DHQ) Hangu, by providing a state-of-the-art digital x-ray system.

A simple ceremony was held at the hospital where the digital x-ray system was formally inaugurated by the chief guest Khial Zaman Orakzai, MNA from Hangu and Parliamentary Secretary for Petroleum. Also in attendance were Shah Faisal Khan, MPA Hangu, Ummar Awais Kiani, Assistant Commissioner Hangu, and Dr. Malik Niaz, Medical Superintendent of the hospital. Members of the Hangu community including community elders and leaders also witnessed the ceremony.

Speaking at the occasion, Khial Zaman Orakzai, said, “I would like to acknowledge the efforts of MOL Pakistan and the efforts of Ali Murtaza Abbas of MOL Group for his continued support of our community. By improving healthcare facilities and services at the hospital, we are bringing better health to the people of this area.”

In his message, Ali Murtaza Abbas, MOL Group Regional Vice President for Middle East, Africa and Pakistan, said, “Pakistan and its people are important to MOL Group. As a socially responsible corporate entity, we care about the health and wellbeing of our communities. As such, we will continue to support all levels of government in bettering the social welfare of local communities by providing resources to those in need and by improving health care facilities in our areas of operation.”

During the event, MOL also Pakistan distributed wheelchairs among differently abled members of the community. The gift of mobility was greatly appreciated by recipients, who were touched by the company’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative.
