In addition, it has emerged as a strong pillar for sustainable development for both developed and developing economies, as it offers various cultural, social, technological, experiential, and natural products for leisure and business. In this connection, the World Travel and Tourism Council’s Report of 2021reveals that travel, and tourism plays a significant role in much of the economic activities across the globe, let’s say 10.6% of all jobs, 6.8% of total exports and a major part of cross border trade. Thus, tourism has emerged as a prominent and developing industry.
Economic impactinvolves a country’s economic condition, primarily by bringing multiple economic factors, economic effects of tourism include improved tax revenue, personal income, increased standards of living, and more employment opportunities, meanwhile by attraction international tourism there comes initiation of foreign exchange that sustains county’s economic wellbeing.
On Sociocultural backgrounds tourism impacts are associated with interactions among people with differing cultural upbringings, attitudes and behaviors, that involves cross cultural exchanges, experiences and relationships to material goods. This can help in uplifting the communities, along cross learning and education takes places, on top it is a backbone for protecting and promoting the heritage of certain nation.
Tourism can impact environment both positively and negatively. Litter is a common experience we can have on tourist attraction places, along with pollution, loss of biodiversity and natural resource degradation. On the other hand, by public and private partnership the Government sector can provide the opportunity for Private sector to establish and improve the infrastructure, this too is beneficial for every stakeholder.
