GO supports govt efforts for greener Pakistan

Karachi: Under the umbrella of its “GO Nursery Project” Initiative, Gas & Oil Pakistan Ltd. (GO) has planted more than 100,000 sapling trees at its retail outlets, depots as well as government, non-government and educational institutes.

Expressing his views, Khalid Riaz, CEO, GO said “Pakistan is extremely vulnerable to climate change effects. It is our collective responsibility, as a nation, to take sustainable actions.”

He further said, “GO is and always has been committed to reduce its carbon footprint and support the Government in its efforts for a greener Pakistan. We are committed to playing our part with full vigor across Pakistan and our dealers too have joined hands with us in the GO Nursery Program to make Pakistan green and healthy”.

In the current season, GO has donated 95,000 saplings to various educational institutions, governmental/non-governmental organizations, Commerce College, Sahiwal, Government Degree College for Girls, Dipalpur, Government Degree College, Arifwala, DPO Office, Vehari, KPK Police, Pakistan Rangers (Punjab), Fort Abbas and Civil Hospital, Harrappa. Global climate continues to change dramatically. GO’s initiative ‘GO Nursery’ aims to enhance the quality of air and help mitigate the effects of climate change that is a problem faced across the World.
