DAGENHAM – The historic Three Travellers pub and restaurant in Dagenham has officially reopened its doors to the public after undergoing a complete renovation, bringing new life to one of the area’s most iconic venues.The grand reopening ceremony was held with distinguished guests including Cllr Qaisar Abbas of Thurrock Council, who was invited as the chief guest, along with Cllr Thavathuray Jeyaranjan of Redbridge Council and Cllr Ingrid Robinson of Barking and Dagenham Council. Together, they inaugurated the newly refurbished business and praised its contribution to the local economy and community.The new ownership of the Three Travellers is led by renowned businessmen Mr Vijay Balasingham and Mr Murali Arirajasingam, who warmly welcomed guests, customers, and local residents. Speaking on the occasion, the owners expressed their excitement:“We are happy to open our doors to our customers and local residents. We invite everyone to visit us and try our dishes and new dining lounges.Highlighting the importance of local business growth, Cllr Qaisar Abbas said:“I am pleased to inaugurate this business along with councillors from two other councils. This business has generated new employment opportunities. I always support new and local businesses and wish them success.”Housed in a Grade II listed building, the Three Travellers now offers a modern restaurant and bar experience, combining traditional English dishes with authentic South Asian cuisine, as well as a wide range of drinks. The venue has been redesigned to provide a welcoming atmosphere with new dining lounges for families, friends, and community gatherings.The reopening marks not only the preservation of a historic landmark in Dagenham but also an investment in the local economy through job creation and the promotion of cross-cultural food experiences.Local residents have already begun visiting the establishment, and the owners hope that the Three Travellers will become a hub for dining, leisure, and community engagement in East London.
