Brain drain is an imminent danger to the future of our country. When our youth, full of potential, leave- taking with them a country that could desperately use their abilities, energy and creativity- it is not only the departure of population but also impoverishment. Lack of employment opportunities, access to quality education, political uncertainty and intensifying inflation is increasing day by day.

It’s been 77 years that Pakistan became an independent state but Pakistan’s instability is quite concerning. Youth lacks basic needs in Pakistan. Over 700,000 educated youth had left Pakistan to pursue their dreams. While it is comprehensible that young people seek well prospects, the consequences of this trend are upsetting. Some of our brightest minds are leaving nowadays, people who could help Pakistan to develop and prosper.

Young people are not valued in Pakistan. It is imperative that the government and society in general recognize the seriousness of this issue and take some measures to deal with it. There should be an investment in quality education, fostering entrepreneurship, encouraging small businesses and ensuring that the job market can fascinate the skilled graduates.

To rebuild trust and credibility in the youth, it is encouraged to confront problems like political uncertainty, corruption, a lack of transparency, and bad governance.

The departure of youth at such large scale is a loss for Pakistan because Pakistan needs youth for progress and prosperity. We must bring the problem to the light before it’s too late.
