Tashkent, Uzbekistan : President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the site of a new park in Qibray district of Tashkent region.

Green spaces play an important role in creating a comfortable and supportive living environment. Therefore, new parks and alleys are being created in cities and regions of our country. Green spaces are especially important for developing Tashkent, where large-scale construction work has unfolded in recent years.

On the initiative of the head of state, a large park is being created near the capital. On February 25, the project of the park was discussed. The first trees have been planted here today.

In this regard, deputies, members of parliament and government, the public of the city of Tashkent, representatives of the older generation, scientists and art workers, athletes and youth gathered here.

– I am glad to meet you on these bright days of Ramadan. We have begun a lot of work to create decent conditions for our people. With God’s help, we are starting to create a 104 hectare park in this picturesque place. I think that laying the park during this blessed month is a good sign, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The new park is remarkable not only for its landscape, but also for its content. The trees will be planted in the form of five branches of a huge tree, which will symbolize the five priority areas of the Strategy of Action.

The goal is to create not just a green area, but a place of high culture and spirituality, a place where people can relax in the lap of nature. Chestnuts, oaks, maples, tulip and linden trees will be planted, unique ornamental plants, shrubs and flowers will be planted. It is also planned to organize an artificial lake, sports and playgrounds, fountains.

The Istiqlol complex will also be erected here, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of our country’s independence.

The President emphasized the ideological and historical significance of this complex.

– This year we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of our independence. But our statehood is 3 thousand years old. There will be a complex that will show this great story. And young people, foreign guests who come here will be able to make sure of this, the head of state said.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed that the park should be a complex reflecting the new look of Uzbekistan, its enormous potential, the unity and cohesion of our multinational people. With this in mind, he proposed to name this majestic park “New Uzbekistan”. The proposal was supported by the audience.

The head of state, together with the public, planted trees in the new park.

As previously reported, an Olympic village will be built next to the park
