Uzbek Language Day Celebrated in Uzbekistan Embassy Islamabad

Col Saadulla A Tashmatov, Chargé D Affairs of Uzbekistan Embassy in Islamabad said that Uzbek language, from the family of Turkish language, is one of the largest is the largest in the world and almost around 50 million people are able to speak the language across the world. He speaking during an event held at the Embassy premises to celebrate the Uzbek Language Day.

Col Saadulla A Tashmatov said “This year marks the 31st anniversary of the Uzbek state language status”. He congratulations to the people of Uzbekistan and Uzbek communities everywhere, as they are celebrate the Uzbek Language day. Even as this year’s celebrations have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, Pakistani stand in solidarity with Uzbekistan.

Chargé D Affairs said that Uzbek language is a symbol of national identity, pride, and state independence. The language has a huge spiritual value for the people of Uzbekistan.

He also gave certificates and awards to teachers who have been imparting Uzbek language education in Pakistan.

The embassy also arranged an exhibition in which handicrafts from Uzbekistan were showcased. Visitors took keen interest in the exhibition.

A short video about the potentials of Uzbekistan was also screened on the occasion.

He guests were served with traditional Uzbek cuisine, which they liked very much. Children from Uzbekistan presented short speeches in Uzbek language.Long live Pakistan-Uzbekistan friendship.
