The Italian Ambassador visited Edhi Foundation today.

Karachi :The Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan, H.E. Andreas Ferrarese along with the Consul General of Italy in Karachi, H.E. Danilo Giurdanella paid a Courtesy visit to Edhi Foundation and met Mrs. Bilquis Edhi and Faisal Edhi. The wife of the Ambassador of Italy, Mrs. Albana Planeja and Mrs. Antonella Bartolomucci, wife of the Consul General of Italy also accompanied the Ambassador.

The Ambassador Ferrarese expressed his gratitude to the Edhi Foundtaion for their support to the Italian government and donated US dollars 300,000 US Dollars to the Italian Civil Protection Agency at a time when Italy was combating the first wave of the Covid 19 pandemic in 2020.

Faisal Edhi briefed the Ambassador and Italian guests about the Foundation and the Mission of late Mr. Abdul Sattar Edhi, the great humanitarian, who always believed in serving the humanity unconditionally.    

Ambassador Ferrarese and Italian guests appreciated the efforts of Edhi Foundation and remained inspired by the efforts of late Edhi sahib for having established the largest network of voluntary ambulances in the world, along with various shelters for homeless people, animal shelters, rehabilitation centers and orphanages all over Pakistan. 

The Ambassador congratulated and appreciated Mrs. Bilquis Edhi, her son Faisal Edhi and the whole team of Edhi Foundation for taking over the direction of the Edhi Foundation and expanding the charitable activities to all over Pakistan and the rest of the world.
