ISLAMABAD: Thai Airways is resuming its flight operations to Pakistan from 1st of February 2022 after two years. Earlier the airline terminated its flight operations in March 2019 due to COVID-19 travel restrictions for traveling to Thailand and other countries.

Thai Airways will be operating twice weekly service from Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad to Bangkok.

Thai Airways to resume flight operations to Pakistan from Feb 1The airlines will recommence direct flights from Bangkok to 36 major destinations, including certain locations in Europe, Asia, and Australia. According to details, it will also resume direct flights from Bangkok to fifteen major destinations including Australia, Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Seoul, Taipei, Hong Kong, Dhaka, Manila, Cambodia as well as Europe.

The operations for most of these routes will be resumed in accordance with the Thai government’s plan to reopen the island to tourists. It is possible that some of these flights will primarily focus on cargo uplift as travel restrictions limit travelers except that on essential business or for repatriation.

However, the shared plan of action for this year might be subject to change, given the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the country and the COVID-19 travel restrictions.
