The Taliban have suffered heavy casualties during clashes with the Afghan security forces. According to the Afghan Ministry of Defence,  65 Taliban militants were killed, when Taliban Group attacked ANDSF outposts, Taliban offensives were rebuffed in Zherai, Arghandab, Panjwai and Shahwali Kot districts of Kandahar province. Additionally, a large number of their weapons and ammunition were destroyed as a result of reciprocal attacks.
In another battle, Afghan National Army repelled Taliban attack in Andar district of Ghazni province, as a result, 18 Taliban were killed and 12 others were wounded during reciprocal attacks of the Afghan National Army.
