Islamabad :The Presidency of the House of Representatives followed the dangerous escalatory steps by the terrorist Houthi militia consisting in the promulgation of the so-called “new political rulings” with all horrible and criminal terms that stipulated the execution of 11 members of Parliament in Tahrir Square and the confiscation of their properties after their mock and illegal courts had issued the so-called death sentences against 35 deputies and the confiscation of their properties in addition to the implementation of a military attack on the Ma’rib governorate, which is home to more than a million displaced people and set fire to all fronts in the governorate, bombing residential neighborhoods with rockets, booby-traps, terrorizing citizens, forcing hundreds of families to flee from the city, and launching a number of drones towards the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This escalation represents a response to the peace calls launched by the United States which is supported by the legitimate government and the countries of the coalition to support legitimacy, which coincides with the negotiation rounds of the UN envoy and the US envoy who are looking for ways to peace and to turn back to the negotiation table, in a clear insistence on the Houthis` rejection of all calls for peace and surrounding the world as group of war, death and terror and that there is no possibility for peace and coexistence with it, as well as no place in its dictionaries for the language of reason or consideration for what it has inflicted on Yemen and its people with all the losses, damage, blood, destruction and tears. This escalation confirms the Houthi militia’s continuing efforts to thwart the efforts of the brothers and friends of Yemen to calm the situation and end the war, without any concern for the worsening human suffering or regard to the calls, efforts and keenness of the international community to stop Yemeni bloodshed.

The Presidency of the House of Representatives calls on the international community, the permanent members of the Security Council, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, and the parliaments in the world to take a firm and resolute stance against this escalation, and to review the recent positions that the militia considered a permit for more hostile operations and terrorist attacks on civilians, and an attempt to impose a fait accompli.

It also appeals to the entire international community to stop the arrogance of the Houthi militia and restrain them as they practice such crimes against the Yemeni people and Yemeni officials, because the world today demands an urgent and frank position and not to allow these militias to engage in their crimes and to destroy all opportunities for peace and harmony and the right of the Yemeni people to live, and to suspend the entire region and threaten international navigation.

Coexisting with a fascist group that decides the execution of dozens of parliamentarians without shame is considered surprising and unacceptable as long as this group continues its hostile and criminal acts. Here we affirm that the members of Parliament have devoted their lives and efforts in order to restore the kidnapped state and for victory for the people´s will to live a free and decent life in a republican system where everyone is equal under the powers of the constitution and the law.
