The special guest of the play was Mushaal Mullick, wife of Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik. Speaking on this occasion, Mushaal Mullick said that India was breaking mountains of oppression and barbarism on unarmed Kashmiris. Occupied India has allowed Indians to buy land in the valley. In fact, there is a conspiracy to turn Kashmiris into a minority in the valley. Ninety lacs Kashmiris have been under curfew for fifteen months. Thousands of Kashmiri youth are being tortured. The United Nations should give Kashmiris the right to vote in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions, she added. Welcoming the Kashmiris’ independence movement, Director Arts Council Waqar Ahmed said that Kashmiris would soon gain independence from the occupying India, adding that the United Nations, European Union and other major countries of the world should play their role in resolving the Kashmir issue. How long has the world remained silent on the atrocities taking place in the occupied valley? Kashmiris are sacrificing their lives to save their identity from being erased. Hundreds of people from different walks of life were present at the Arts Council to watch the drama.
