Shusha will take its rightful place in the list of the most beautiful cities in the world
Shusha : According to the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, assessment and inventory works are being carried out in Shusha in connection with the restoration and reconstruction measures in the liberated territories. Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture, Azersu OJSC, the State Agency for Motor Roads, Azerishig OJSC, Azerenergy OJSC, Baku Landscaping Service LLC Relevant tasks were given to the working group consisting of up to 60 people and working in 6 main directions with the involvement of experts from various fields.

For several days, work has begun on the initial assessment and inventory of the current state of infrastructure, land and other real estate in Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan and the pearl of the entire Caucasus. One of the important tasks of the working group is to assess the state of the territory and urban development of Shusha as a whole, especially the current state of historical, cultural and religious monuments, including the sustainability of buildings, architectural appearance, roads and other infrastructure.
Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture Ilgar Isbatov said that a group of specialists has been in Shusha for four days. First of all, the current state of infrastructure and buildings in Shusha – the housing stock, the sustainability of buildings are being studied. Also, research is being conducted to study the historical and cultural monuments in the city, to determine their condition. As a result of the research, 186 historical and cultural monuments have been identified in the city.
“It is very unfortunate that some of the monuments were destroyed by Armenian vandals. Most of the monuments have changed both their internal structure and appearance. But as a result of the information we have collected and the activities of the professionals involved, we will achieve the desired results, we will be able to return the monuments to their previous state, “Isbatov said.
Ilgar Isbatov noted that all the information obtained is collected in a single database. This allows professionals to continue their work in each area using this database.
Upon completion of the assessment and inventory work, purposeful measures will be taken to systematically restore the city of Shusha, historical and religious monuments and museums, while preserving the ancient historical and architectural style. As a result of the reconstruction work to be carried out in a short time, Shusha will take its rightful place in the list of the most beautiful cities in the world.
