LAHORE : Adamant to dissolve assemblies this month, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan on Saturday said his party and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) agreed over the dissolution of provincial assemblies.
Speaking to a delegation of the Insaf Students Federation (ISF), Mr Khan said the PTI would send the summary for dissolution of Punjab assembly to Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi this month adding his party will work together with its ally PML-Q in the future too.
The ISF delegation apprised the PTI chairman that Punjab Minister for Higher Education Raja Yasir Humayun was not allowing the ISF to run a membership campaign in educational institutes to which Imran Khan responded by directing the minister to report tomorrow at his [Mr Khan] residence in Zaman Park.
In an interview to a private channel, the former PM said, “I would have taken revenge from the three people, had I been doing politics for myself but I am not doing politics for myself, but for the country.” He said the country would unite when the powerful brought under the law.
Alleging the PML-N of out of court settlement with Daily Mail, he said that the Sharifs’ would have been exposed had the case is heard in the court.
