ISLAMABAD: The hosted a farewell Iftar dinner in the honor of former Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat and appreciated his outstanding services as a Deputy Commissioner in Islamabad territory at Islamabad.

While speaking at the occasion, Former Deputy commissioner Islamabad, Hamza Shafqaat appreciated the support being provided to him by the citizens and all the stakeholder during his successful tenure in the federal capital. He said that the last two year were quite tough for the nation due to COVID-19 outbreak around the globe but with great cooperation from the public and specially the schools administrations, parents and traders, we managed the crisis with success under immense pressure. I give credit to all the citizens of Islamabad for all the positive things we could do in the federal capital to make this city safe, welcoming and healthy, Hamza added.
Hamza Shafqaat stated that he did not work as Deputy Commissioner officer but as a servant of the public so that i can better engage with the masses and fulfill my duties in the best possible way.
Speakers at the event appreciated the services of Former DC Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat and how intelligently he used new media to better solve the issues of the general public. He always responded on social media and took action to solve the issues with keen interest. People of Islamabad showed greater confidence in him during his tenure.
Participants of the events hoped that Hamza will continue to serve the public with the same passion and love for the public and said that Pakistan needs more public servants like Hamza Shafqaat to grow as a successful nation. Hamza Shafqaat is a role model for young bureaucrats or for the youth who want to join civil service.
Private schools association Islamabad presented the souvenir to Hamza Shafqaat while an appreciation certificate was also presented to by Daily Spokesman. Event concluded with prayers for the growth, safety and prosperity of Pakistan.
