Tashkent: President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited “Khabib Abdullayev” mahalla of Mirzo Ulugbek district in Tashkent.
Over 4.4 thousand people live in the mahalla. There are about 50 trade and service points and educational organizations here. 38 apartment buildings and 4 social facilities are serviced by the management service company “Madaniyatli Hudud”.
All conditions have been created for the complete leisure of residents. This year, a teahouse, an amphitheater, and a Wi-Fi zone were built, internal roads and playgrounds were repaired.
Thanks to the attention and unity of the residents, the mahalla acquired a completely new look. In the fall, more than 2 thousand seedlings of ornamental and fruit trees were planted as part of the “Yashil Makon” (Green Space) project. Two artesian wells were dug, and an irrigation system for green spaces was created.
Here, the Head of state spoke with activists of the district and representatives of the older generation. They talked about the work in their mahallas on landscaping, repairing electrical networks, and thoroughly preparing for winter.
The President noted the need for saving energy, preserving heat in homes, and creating in everyone a sense of belonging to the culture of energy saving.
“We can’t say that climate change is happening somewhere far from us. Last year’s frosts showed this. We now need to change our worldview considering the climate change. If every citizen treats this as caring for his home, mahalla, district, and native country, then the result will be as we expect”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Ten transformers were repaired before winter, and the electrical networks were replaced in this mahalla. The entrance areas of multi-storey buildings were overhauled, and new doors were installed. The heating pipes in the basements have been replaced.
The Head of state was reported on preparations for winter in accordance with the instructions given during his visit to Chilanzar district in Tashkent.
