Islamabad: Regarding Korea Pakistan coordination in agriculture sector, first meeting of KOPIA Pakistan Centre was held today at NARC. Chairman PARC, Dr. Muhammad Azeem Khan chaired this meeting, in which Councilor, Korea Embassy in Pakistan Mr. Park June-Seo, Dy. Secretary MNFSR, Mr. Saifullah Janbaz, KOPICA Director, Mr. Yang Seok-woong, KOPIA Director, Dr. Cho Gyoung-rae, Professor Comsat University Dr. Najeebullah and high officials from NARC/PARC were present.
Under this meeting total thirty nine research proposals, from diverse agricultural sectors, were received and reviewed. It includes potato seed production, chilies dehydration plants, Artificial Insemination, Sex Semen Technology, fodder crops, rice breeding, onion planting technology, model dairy farm of exotic high yielding Korean cows and backyard poultry.
It is also added that a MoU has already been signed between PARC and Rural Development Administration of Korea, Under the MoU both the countries would hold joint research and technology development projects related to agriculture and live stock.
