The minister calls for enhancing trade volume, people-to-people contact with Kazakhstan; Republic Day of Kazakhstan celebrated

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Petroleum Senator Musadik Malik said Pakistan and Kazakhstan enjoy cordial and brotherly relations. The minister expressed these views while addressing to gathering as a chief guest on the occasion of the “Republic Day of Kazakhstan.”
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Abdul Shakoor, Dr. Qibla Ayaz, the Chairman of the Islamic Ideology Council, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan and Dean of Diplomatic Corps Atadjan Movlamov, High Commissioners, Ambassadors, Defense Attaché and media persons and as well as the representatives of Kazakhstan diaspora, experts and representatives of Pakistan business community attended the “Republic Day of Kazakhstan”. The event was organized by the embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
There were tremendous opportunities that stand untapped, the Minister said, adding both the countries were working to enhance trade volume and people-to-people contact. He also emphasized the importance of relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan and the need for further progressive development. The minister highlighted the importance of inter-regional transit and transport infrastructure development, the need for diversification, and the expansion of Kazakhstan-Pakistan trade and economic ties. Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, highlighted the importance of the 30th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The ambassador also spoke about the history of the Republic Day of Kazakhstan and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, K. Tokayev’s initiatives. Earlier, The Ambassador of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kistafin talked to the Daily The Spokesman shared the achievements of the Republic of Kazakhstan over the years of independence, the contribution of the President to the development of the country’s domestic and foreign policy and the strengthening of cooperation with Pakistan. He further said that Kazakhstan is an integral part of Central Asia, a region connected with centuries-old links with South Asia.
This is what defines Kazakhstan’s foreign policy towards brotherly Pakistan and Kazakhstan is grateful and proud that Pakistan was among the first countries that recognized our Independence, added the ambassador. On this occasion, the Rotary Club of Islamabad hosted a charity exhibition of paintings by children with special needs.
