Islamabad :Pak Afghan bilateral trade enhancement will increase employment and prosperity in the region, said Vice President SAARC Chamber of Commerce Haji Ghulam Ali

A delegation of Pakistan Business Community lead by Haji Ghulam Ali Vice President SAARCI CCI & Qaisar Khan Daudzai Vice President FPCCI met the Afghan Minister for Trade and Industry Nisar Ahmad Ghoriani in Islamabad yesterday, and discussed various issues pertaining to Pak Afghan bilateral trade. The Vice President SAARC CCI Haji Ghulam Ali said that Pakistan and Afghanistan are brotherly Islamic countries and the members of SAARC CCI as well and they have there their geographical importance in the regions of South and Central Asia. He further said that enhancement of bilateral economic relations and trade between both the countries will increase employment and prosperity in the region. He emphasized on liberalization and facilitation to the business community of both sides border stations at Torkham, Chaman, Ghulam Khan and Shah Saleem.
The Afghanistan Minister for Trade and Industry appreciated the views of Vice Presidents of both SAARC Chamber of Commerce and FPCCI and said that he himself is an industrialist and well aware of issues of trade and business, he further said that his visit to Pakistan was encouraging and he expressed his hope that new avenues to flourish the bilateral trade and joint ventures will be opened in both countries. Afghan Minister further said that SAARC CCI was established under the agreed charter of eight countries of South Asia and assured that he will attempt to resolve the issues of SAARC CCI.

Qaisar Khan Daudzai Vice President FPCCI & Incharge FPCCI Capital office & KPK assured that FPCCI support Business Community of Afghanistan and endeavor to promote the investments through joint venture in all potential sectors.
The meeting was also attended by former president of FPCCI & executive member of SAARC Zubair Malik, former provincial minister Fazal Elahi, prominent industrialist Muhammad Shoaib Khan, former FPCCI vice presidents Qurban Ali, Muhammad Riaz Khattak, coordinator FPCCI Sartaj Ahmed Khan and executive members of SAARC CCI and The General Assembly of SAARC CCI.
