Pakistan Navy and Royal Navy Of Oman Conduct Bilateral Naval Exercise Thamar Al Tayyib 2025

Karachi, 06 Dec 25: Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) flotilla, comprising ROYAL NAVY OF OMAN VESSEL AL RASIKH and AL SHINAS, visited Karachi to participate in the 12th edition of Bilateral Exercise THAMAR AL TAYYIB (TAT) 2025. Exercise aimed at strengthening maritime security cooperation and deepening longstanding bonds of friendship between Pakistan and Oman.

Upon arrival at Karachi Port, visiting ships were warmly received in a traditional welcome ceremony attended by senior officials of Pakistan Navy. A band of Pakistan Navy performed during the reception.

Exercise TAT-2025 served as an important platform for mutual learning, enhanced interoperability and professional development. Pakistan Navy and Royal Navy of Oman have been conducting the TAT series of exercises regularly since 1980 and TAT-2023 was conducted in Omani waters.

The visit included call-ons with senior Pakistan Navy leadership, onboard receptions and visits to key naval installations and training facilities. Personnel from both navies engaged in professional dialogues, operational discussions and exchange of experiences across various maritime domains.

Visit culminated in the sea phase, where naval ships from both forces conducted advanced operational maneuvers and joint exercises encompassing major facets of modern maritime warfare.

Pakistan Navy remains committed to fostering regional maritime cooperation and strengthening ties with partner navies worldwide. Royal Navy of Oman’s participation in TAT-2025 reflects the growing defence partnership between the two friendly nations and their shared resolve to promote regional peace, stability, and maritime collaboration.

Wasim Aslam Appointed Coordinator to Chairman PMYP for Azad Jammu & Kashmir

London:The Prime Minister’s Youth Programme (PMYP) has appointed Mr. Wasim Aslam as Coordinator to the Chairman PMYP for Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJK). The nomination, issued by Chairman PMYP Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan from the Prime Minister’s Office, Islamabad, has been made on an honorary basis.According to the official notification, Mr. Aslam will play a key role in strengthening communication and coordination between the PMYP and major stakeholders across AJK. His responsibilities include supporting youth-focused initiatives, advancing development programmes, and ensuring meaningful engagement with local communities. The Chairman PMYP stated that Mr. Aslam has been entrusted with the task of serving as a “vital bridge” between the youth of AJK and the PMYP leadership, helping to enhance the programme’s overall impact in the region. Mr. Wasim Aslam hails from Kotli, Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

Hope 4 Humanity Gears Up for Pakistan Visit After Productive Meeting with High Commissioner

London: Hope 4 Humanity held a constructive meeting with H.E. Dr Mohammed Faisal, High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, as part of preparations for the organisation’s upcoming delegation visit to Pakistan.

Chairperson Dr Mah, Head of Operations Ms Simone Thompson, and Head of Strategy Junaid BEM met with His Excellency to discuss the objectives of their visit and explore avenues for meaningful collaboration. The delegation also sought the High Commission’s support in arranging meetings with selected NGOs, orphanages, and charitable hospitals across Pakistan.

Hope 4 Humanity is widely recognised for its work in Children’s Clubs, Youth Development, and Women’s Empowerment. The organisation aims to share its expertise with local partners to help strengthen community welfare initiatives across the country.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the serious challenges faced by disadvantaged communities in Pakistan, particularly the ongoing issue of malnutrition. Vulnerable infants, children, and mothers continue to struggle with access to nutritious food. Hope 4 Humanity plans to collaborate with local organisations to raise awareness of nutritional needs and provide essential support to affected families.

H.E. Dr Mohammed Faisal praised the organisation’s humanitarian efforts and congratulated Junaid BEM on being awarded the British Empire Medal by His Majesty King Charles III, along with other notable distinctions.

Hope 4 Humanity expressed gratitude to the High Commissioner for his support and willingness to facilitate the delegation’s upcoming visit. The organisation also thanked Press Minister Mr Ali Awan and senior officials of the Pakistan High Commission for assisting in the coordination of The Meeting.

Historic Visit: Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan Pen Agreements Across Energy, Mining, and Culture

ISLAMABAD : Pakistan has expressed strong commitment to enhancing trade with Kyrgyzstan, setting a target to increase bilateral trade volume from the current $15 million to $200 million within the next two years.

The development comes as both countries signed a series of important agreements and Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) during a high-level ceremony held at the Prime Minister’s House on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov witnessed the signing of multiple MoUs across diverse sectors, including mining, geosciences, energy, culture, tourism, foreign services, and prisoner exchange. In a symbolic gesture to deepen people-to-people relations, Bishkek and Islamabad were officially declared twin cities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the visiting president, describing the visit as “historic and highly significant” for bilateral ties. He said Pakistan attaches great importance to its relationship with Kyrgyzstan, adding that the agreements marked a substantial step forward in strengthening cooperation.

“We have reaffirmed our collective resolve to take our relations to new heights,” the prime minister stated. “The Pakistan-Kyrgyzstan Business Forum will open new avenues for economic cooperation, trade and investment.”

PM said 15 MoUs and agreements were signed, highlighting that enhanced trade connectivity and collaboration would particularly benefit energy, regional linkages, and youth development programs.

Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov thanked Pakistan for its warm hospitality, calling the country “a trusted and important partner in South Asia.” He emphasised that the CASA-1000 energy project remains vital for meeting regional energy demands, while cooperation in education, science, technology and transportation will continue to grow.

Zhaparov also praised ongoing counter-terrorism coordination and said both countries share similar views on global and regional matters. At the conclusion of the ceremony, he extended a formal invitation to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to visit Kyrgyzstan.

Islamabad: The Annual Sales Dealers Event of Fauji Cement Company was held on 2 December 2025 at the Montage Marquee Complex, Gulberg Greens, Islamabad. The event was attended by dealers, project partners, exporters, transporters, and business professionals associated with the cement industry from across the country.
Addressing the participants, Director Marketing & Sales Brigadier (R) Salahuddin Ayoubi said that dealers and business partners play a vital role in strengthening the national economy and promoting the industrial sector. He stated that the company has achieved new milestones this year, in which the hard work and professional commitment of the dealers have been fundamental.
Fauji Cement Celebrates Record 5.4 Million Ton Sales at Annual Dealers EventHe shared that Fauji Cement sold 5.4 million tons of cement this year, which is a record achievement. The Director Marketing & Sales highlighted the importance of the company’s role in preventing the wastage of natural resources, including responsible use of groundwater, mountain preservation, tree plantation, adoption of alternative fuels, and consistent implementation of high academic standards and new research.
Brigadier (R) Salahuddin Ayoubi emphasized that the national business environment is improving, and such events not only build confidence but also play an important role in further promoting business activities. He added that the company aims to work with its partners on initiatives that benefit both the organization and the national economy.
The guest of honour, Managing Director / Chief Executive of Fauji Cement, Qamar Haris Manzoor, said in his address that despite current economic challenges, the company’s performance is commendable, and there are clear prospects for further growth in the near future. He urged the dealers to continue enhancing their professional capabilities and maintain the same dedication in the coming year.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the guest of honour paid tribute to the high-performing dealers, stating that their contribution is the backbone of the organization’s success.
Special awards and shields were presented to the dealers who demonstrated outstanding performance during the 2024–25 period. Participants were also briefed on the company’s strategy for the coming year, including new targets and innovative business plans.
Senior management of Fauji Cement, including Brigadier Kashif Naveed, Brigadier Khurram Mirza, Umar Ashraf, Syed Kamran, Qaiser Mehmood Sheikh, and Irfan Naseem Sheikh, attended the event.
The ceremony was moderated and supervised by Muhammad Ashraf Malik, Manager Marketing/Sales.
Pakistan’s renowned singer Shan Khan captivated the audience with his performances in Urdu and Pashto.
A special luncheon was arranged for the participants at the end of the ceremony.

NLC’s contributions gets recognition at Tashkent

Islamabad: In recognition of NLC’s active role in regional connectivity and opening access to untapped markets, the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) has been honoured with Award of the Fastest Growing Company of the Year at Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
NLC started cross border logistics operations to Uzbekistan in May 2023. Since then, the organization has completed over 1000 operations carrying 20000 MT of exports and import goods including medicine, textile products, expo material and a variety of other commodities. Moreover, NLC has exported around 6000 tonnes of agri products including mandarins, bananas, mangoes, potatoes, rice and meat etc to Uzbekistan.
NLC has also established a logistics hub at Termez offering end-to-end multimodal logistics solutions to the business communities of the region.
The award was presented to NLC at the Business Opportunities Conference & International Achievement Awards 2025 held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The ceremony was attended by senior government officials of Uzbekistan, representatives of Chambers of Commerce and members of Pakistan’s diplomatic mission.
