Spokesman Report
Islamabad: Mushaal Hussain Mullick has expressed grave concerns over the fast deteriorating health of her husband Yasin Malik who has been languishing in solitary confinement at Tihar Jail Delhi.
Mushaal in a statement on Sunday asked the world leaders and Indian government for providing necessary medical facilities to incarcerated Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik.
She said that Yasin Malik’s body weight has receded to 65kgs during the last two months, adding that the incarcerated JKLF chairman is also a chronic heart patient.
Mushaal said that her husband in the recent hearing of the case tried to draw the attention of the judges towards his deteriorating health condition but unfortunately the judges didn’t pay any attention in this regard.
Mushaal lamented that the Indian judiciary was toeing the line of the government instead of doing justice especially when it comes to the Kashmiri pro-freedom leaders.
Former SAPM on Human Rights Mushaal Mallick said that Geneva Convention and other international covenants make it mandatory for all signatory countries to provide every medical facility to political prisoners but it seems that the international community especially the champions of democracy and human rights have given India a free license to violate all these conventions and covenants.
