ISLAMABAD: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, wife of Chairman Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Yasin Malik, thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for taking up the Occupied Jammu and Kashmir matter with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi.
The Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization in her statement lauded PM Khan for writing a letter to his Indian counterpart to highlight the plight of Kashmiri people living under siege of Indian army for the last 603 days.
PM Khan has said that durable peace and stability in South Asia is contingent upon resolving all outstanding issues between India and Pakistan, particularly the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
She said that Imran Khan rightly pointed out that peace and stability in the region concomitant to the resolution of the long-standing Kashmir dispute.
PM Khan in his latest letter to Narendra Modi wrote, “The people of Pakistan also desire peaceful, cooperative relations with all neighbours, including India. He maintained that the creation of an enabling environment is imperative for a constructive and result-oriented dialogue.
She expressed optimism that Indian Prime Minister would reciprocate in the same friendly gesture to find out amicable, negotiated settlement of Kashmir despite to ensure lasting peace in the region.
