RAWALPINDI: In a major reshuffle in the Pakistan Army, Lt Gen Sardar Hassan Azhar Hayat Khan has been posted as Corps Commander Peshawar from Military Secretary (MS), GHQ, Rawalpindi. In a statement issued by ISPR here on Monday, Lt Gen Faiz Hameed is posted as Corps Commander Bahawalpur from Corps Commander Peshawar. Lt Gen Khalid Zia is posted as Military Secretary from the post of Corps Commander Bahawalpur.

Last week, former director-general of the ISPR Lt Gen Asif Ghafoor was appointed corps Commander Quetta. According to the ISPR, Lt Gen Ghafoor was appointed to replace his predecessor, Lt Gen Sarfraz Ali who along with five other Pakistan Army personnel embraced martyrdom last Tuesday after an aviation helicopter of the army crashed in Balochistan.
