Local industry should be given tax exemption in the next budget.   Qurban AliIslamabad : Qurban Ali, Chairman, Mirza Abdul Rehman, Coordinator,FPCCI Capital Office Islamabad said that government cooperation with the private sector is essential for the strengthening and development of the country’s economy. The government should focus on creating business facilitation in the next budget to enable maximum investment to boost economic growth. Local industry should be given tax exemption so that it
can grow. The country cannot develop without solving the problems of the
business community.

They expressed these views while talking to a delegation of the business community visited the Capital Office of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry here yesterday. Former Vice President of FPCCI Sajjad Sarwar, Muhammad Ali Quaid and others were also present on the occasion.

During the meeting, Qurban Ali and Mirza Abdul Rehman listened to the problems of the business community. He also assured that all possible steps would be taken for their solution and their voice would be raised at the government level. During the meeting, the delegation appreciated the FPCCI President, Mian Nasir Hayat Mago and his team, and applauded the efforts of Qurban Ali and Mirza Abdul Rehman for business community.

He urged the government to take concrete and practical steps to solve the
problems of Pakistan’s business community. He further said that the
Business Community must work hard for the prosperity and development of
Pakistan. The local industry should be given tax exemption instead of
foreign industry, so that it can develop. Speaking on the occasion,

Mirza Abdul Rehman, FPCCI Coordinator, said that FPCCI acts as a bridge
between the business community and the government and because of this,
traders can easily inform the government about their problems. The development of industry and trade is in fact the development of Pakistan and FPCCI have always been playing its pivotal role in this development.
Pakistan has abundant natural resources and the government must work with the private sector to transform the country’s economy into an emerging one. The government must create a conducive business environment to facilitate business as well as to keep the economy afloat in the current situation.
