Concern About Pakistan’s Economic Problems
Dear Editor,
I am writing to express my deep concern about the economic problems that our country is facing. Right now, the situation is very difficult for many people. Prices of basic items like food, fuel, and medicine are rising every day, making it hard for families to manage their budgets. On top of this, finding a job has become even more challenging, and the value of our currency keeps dropping. This combination is creating a lot of stress for ordinary citizens.
While I understand that some of these problems are due to global issues, I strongly believe that our government needs to take quick and effective action. It is important that they come up with a clear plan to improve the economy. This plan should focus on bringing stability, attracting investors, and ensuring that those who are most affected by the current situation are given the support they need.
I urge the government to prioritize this issue and take immediate steps to address these concerns. Additionally, I encourage citizens to raise their voices and demand accountability from those in power. By working together, we can push for the changes needed to stabilize our economy and protect our future.
Thank you for considering my views. I am hopeful that with the right steps, we can overcome these challenges and move towards a brighter future for Pakistan.
Sincerely,
Khadija Zulfiqar,Karachi.

A heinous crime Moumita Debnath murder case
Dear Editor,
ظلم سرحد کے اُس پار ہو.. یا اِس پار ظلم تو ظلم ہے
As I sit down to pen this article, my mind is filled with the same sense of shock and outrage that I felt when I first heard the news of Moumita Debnath’s murder. A young and promising doctor, brutally killed by a rape accused in Kolkata, has left the entire nation reeling in horror. The case is a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities of women in our society, particularly those who dare to speak out against injustice.
The investigation into’Moumita’s murder has revealed disturbing details, pointing to a sinister plot to silence the victim. The accused was allegedly deployed by someone to kill Moumita, raising alarming questions about the involvement of powerful individuals or groups. The family’s statement suggests a larger conspiracy, which demands a thorough and impartial investigation. The authorities must leave no stone unturned in uncovering the truth behind Moumita’s tragic death. This heinous crime serves as a grim reminder of the risks faced by women who fight against sexual assault and harassment. Moumita’s courage in reporting the rape accused and pursuing justice ultimately led to her silencing. It is a stark reminder of the price that women pay for speaking out against injustice. The case also highlights the systemic failures that enable such crimes. The accused, already facing rape charges, was allegedly allowed to roam free, posing a threat to the victim and others. This lapse in enforcement raises questions about the commitment of the authorities to protecting citizens, particularly women.
Furthermore, the case underscores the need for a more robust support system for victims of sexual assault. Moumita’s family has spoken about the trauma and fear she endured during the investigation and trial. The lack of adequate protection and support can force victims to withdraw cases or face dire consequences, as seen in this tragic instance. The investigation into Moumita’s murder must be conducted with utmost transparency and accountability. The authorities must ensure that all evidence is carefully examined, and all leads are pursued. The perpetrators, including those who may have masterminded the crime, must be brought to book and face the full force of the law.
Moumita Debnath’s murder is not just a heinous crime but also a wake-up call for our society. It highlights the need for us to come together to create a safer and more just environment for women. We must demand accountability from our authorities and work towards creating a support system that protects victims of sexual assault.
As I close this article, I am reminded of the words of Malala Yousafzai, “The struggle for women’s rights is not only a matter of justice but also a matter of human rights.” It is our collective responsibility to ensure that women like Moumita Debnath do not have to face such horrors alone. We must stand together in solidarity with them and demand justice for all.
