Islamabad :Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Islamabad is opening an online course for officials of the Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) aimed at building their capacities from September 23rd to 29th, 2020. The online capacity building course covers various subjects such as Korea’s Experience on Competition Advocacy, Privatization, Business Combination, Market Dominance and Consumer Protection Law.

KOICA has been running the 3-year training program for CCP since 2018 and as part of the program, 24 CCP officials visited Korea in 2018 and 2019. This year’s course will be offered virtually due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation.

It is expected that the online course will contribute to strengthening the competition advocacy role of CCP and the competencies of CCP officials on competition law enforcement. The course will also provide opportunities to strengthen friendship and partnership among the government officials from Korea and Pakistan.
