Kohsar University Murree visited Islamia University of BahawalpurBahawalpur :Prof. Dr. Habib Bokhari , Vice Chancellor of the Kohsar University Murree visited the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The Honourable guest called on Prof Dr Athar Mahboob Vice Chancellor Islamia University of Bahawalpur at his office at Baghdad ul Jadeed Campus and discussed various avenues of collaboration in the areas of mutual interest. On this occasion Prof. Dr. Habib Bokhari apprised about the vision and working of Kohsar University. Both sides agreed to sign an MoU of cooperation and collaboration in tourism and hospitality management areas as well as to start faculty and student exchange between the two institutions. Prof Dr. Athar Mahboob assured his full support to the newly established university. Later, the Vice Chancellor Kohsar University visited Cholistan Institute of Desert Studies and interacted with Director Prof Dr. Tanveer Hussain Turabi and faculty members where he was briefed about research on Cholistani flora and fauna and collaboration with Houbara foundation International for conservation of Cholistani wild life. Prof. Dr. Habib Bokhari also visited the Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management Of the Institute of Business Management and Administrative Sciences,  the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. He was introduced with the faculty members and was given a brief presentation by Dr. Muhammad Imran Rasheed, HoD department of Tourism Director on the working and activities of the Islamia University Bahawalpur in the areas of Tourism promotion in the region and the country. Participants also discussed that there is a need to establish a tourism education accreditation council in Pakistan to promote the standards of the newly started degree of BS Tourism. They also discussed a consortium of public sector universities for working in the field of Tourisms in Pakistan.
